Seminar is a presentation or sharing idea by an experts and experienced people in which the attendees are encouraged to discuss the subject matter and it can enrich their knowledge about the subject matter
For this year’s seminar, the theme is creativepreneurship seminar. The keyword on this theme is “creative”. As we know in the 21st century, creativity is one of the 4 C skills that millennial generations require. Lessons learned by the 21st century teachers also have a goal to create creative students.
Therefore, in this Creative Seminar we will invite creative people in their respective fields who will share knowledge and experience to us all about how to be a creative businessman and able to develop creative businesses
The aims of this seminar are to improve the entrepreneurial spirit of Singaraja people especially ELE Students, to encourage student interest in entrepreneurship, develop creativity and open an opportunities for ELE Students to work their entrepreneurial spirit, to improve their soft skills that will be very useful in the future.
The participant of this seminar were from university, collage, and general public, and followed by 75 participant. This seminar was hold at Ruang Teater FBS Undiksha
The preparation of this seminar was approximately three months, it was started from the open recruitment for selecting the best ones in handling this seminar. Then, it was also continued by several meetings to discuss about the seminar’s theme, where this seminar would take place, and absolutely the speakers of this event. Besides, the committees had done several times of consultation with the advisor of seminar.
There were several obstacles found during the preparation and even the day of the seminar. When the seminar was prepared, the obstacles came from several of the participants who had registered themselves, but they did not pay for the seminar fee yet. Selecting speakers was also considered as the obstacle we have encountered, since we need to ensure their popularity to attract participants and also the content that they were going to present. In the day of seminar, we switched the turn of the second speaker to take the first turn in presenting the seminar, since the first speaker did not come punctually. So, that was quite hectic and really unpredictable.
The seminar was started with the opening ceremony which was conducted in formal way, in which it was officially opened by the first dean of FBS, Prof. Adi Jaya. After the opening ceremony was successfully held, it was continued by the seminar that was handled by the moderator. The moderator has smoothly handled the seminar, by leading the first and second speaker delivering their material in a very interactive way of talking, since this seminar was adapting a talk show concept. After that, the seminar was continued by discussion session, in which there were three questions only for each speaker. When the discussion session had finished, there was held a challenge session for each speaker, in which each speaker was required to do an endorsement for each product provided. After finishing the challenge session, the moderator concluded the seminar, and the seminar was officially closed.
The speakers of the seminar were Yudist Ardhana and Puja Astawa, reputable content creators who are very well known in social media.
Each speaker was almost delivering the same material. Yudist Ardhana mostly presented about YouTube, especially how to make an interesting content in YouTube channel, what needs to be considered in running the channel we own, and a lot of inspiring information about being YouTuber including the benefits of it. Meanwhile, Puja Astawa delivered the content about filming, since he is a film maker. He also gave several tips in making a meaningful content, whether in film, social media, or even the YouTube channel in order to gain positive feedback by people, especially the internet users
The differences came from the event held. In the previous year, there was held an event named Alumni Gathering with a rationale to gather all ELE’s alumni. Meanwhile, this year had been held a Creativepreneurship Seminar which had a goal to inform and motivate the youth to be creative and innovative entrepreneurs. Besides, the speakers chosen were also absolutely famous and they were totally mastering the material that they were concerning at. If this seminar is compared to two years ago seminar, then it would be totally different, for the participants were really interesting with this event.
