SOLO. During the 61st TEFLIN International Conference, EED decided to make a move regarding with having a professional affiliation. After a long absence, the department is now a member of The Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language in Indonesia (TEFLIN). The subscription fee is 250,000 Rupiahs that allows EED to have several benefits, including journals, board meetings, proposal of becoming a host for future conference and a more active involvement. Undeniably, an institution of Teacher Training and Education, specializing in English Education like EED must have a more active participation in an academic context.
We will make this opportunity to congratulate the initiative of the department on this matter. Hopefully, it will bring positive encouragement and benefits for our beloved department. (Made Hery Santosa)
