Hello everyone,
My name is Gusti Ayu Putu Taharyanti, but you can freely call me Yanti. I am an English Education Department student of Ganesha University of Education. English is my favorite lesson since I was in Elementary School and I was falling in love with it. That’s why I choose this department, because I believe if I do something with love than I will feel comfort and give my biggest effort to do it. I love dancing, the traditional or the modern one. I was one of the Students’ Senate in 2012/2013 period.
I do believe that by gaining a new thing in our life is by doing something new, too. I’m glad that Mr. Hery told me to write something about my once in a life time experience in joining one of the KEMENPORA’s programs called Indonesian Youth Ship Program (Kapal Pemuda Nusantara) concisely. I didn’t go abroad like others, but I was sailing around East Indonesia. I was sailing with one of the Indonesian’s warship called KRI Surabaya 591. The theme for 2014 voyage is Sail Raja Ampat. The route for the 2014 voyage is Jakarta – Sulawesi – Papua – Ambon – Kupang – Bali – Jakarta. It was amazing for me since I have to through a tight selection before. It was not that smooth because the other competitors was older than me and I was lack of experience.
In the last Ajang Kreativitas Mahasiswa (AKM) I was awarded “Mahasiswa Berprestasi”, the most prestigious awards as a University student. It’s because of my participation as one of the Youth Marine Ambassador Representative from Bali in the Indonesian Youth Ship Program (Kapal Pemuda Nusantara). Personally, appointed as the representative from Bali and gathered with other youth ambassador from other Provinces in Indonesia was adding a new insight for me. Indonesia consists of diverse regional languages, races and ethnicities. As an Indonesian, we have to be hand in hand in keeping our nation, holding on to Bhineka Tunggal Ika. Garuda’s in my heart!
