On Monday, November 28th 2016, from 1 P.M to 4 P.M., English Education Department has accomplished a workshop on Curriculum Revitalization in accordance to developing KKNI Curriculum for English Education Department. This workshop was attended by 22 EED lecturers and an invited speaker, Prof. Dr. Nyoman Dantes to give some insight and information related to the new curriculum. Besides, he gave some supervision about how to develop the syllabus, RPS (semester instruction plan), and course contract.
This workshop includes (1) material presentation about the essence and contents of KKNI curriculum by Prof. Dr. Nyoman Dantes, (2) discussion (Q&A session) about KKNI Curriculum, (3) workshop about how to develop the syllabus, RPS (semester instruction plan), and course contract relevant to KKNI Curriculum, (4) assigning course subjects by lecturers’ expertise to develop the syllabus, RPS (semester instruction plan), and course contract.
The workshop ran effectively where the invited speaker gave direct explanation and training on how to develop the curriculum. Some questions by the participants were also answered with satisfying answers and feedbacks. It is expected that from this workshop English Education Department will be able to develop a decent KKNI Curriculum which is relevant to the current constitution in Indonesia and the needs of the stakeholders.
