Good day everyone,
My name is I Made Pasek Suwarbawa but my friends usually call me Pasek. I’m seventh semester of English Education Department.
The Dean of Faculty of Language and Arts and Vice Rector on Academic Affairs of Ganesha University of Education recently awarded me the title of “Mahasiswa Berprestasi.” Actually, I never joined any of the selections of that award to be ‘Mahasiswa Berprestasi’ but they gave me that prestigious award because of some considerations. Among others were dedication and creativity. When I was in third and fifth semester, I was actively involved in organizations, such as ‘HMJ’,’SENAT’, and ‘UKM KESENIAN DAERAH’. During that time, I often represented my department and faculty in joining some competitions in UNDIKSHA and other institutions like dancing competitions, Baleganjur, PKM (Pekan Karya Ilmiah), football and futsal competition.
Now, I am in the ‘HMJ’ squad still. And I still never stop to contribute to my institution, especially in terms of creativity. I create some Balinese dances, dramas, and contemporary performances. I am happy to do so as they are always performed in institutional events. My newest contribution was on Students’ Exchange and ‘Muhibah Seni’ programs, both were conducted at the same period. I was in Windersheim University, the Netherland and in La Rochelle University, France. I had some performances and workshop in those Universities in Europe to introduce my institution and country. It felt wonderful because I could go abroad and got new experience. So, I think it is a perfect journey of my study in UNDISKHA, especially as a student of English Education Department and I hope some of you can follow it, even do better! Good student is a student who is knowledgeable and skillful. Achieve it! (Made Hery Santosa)
