Aparticular event named Rapat Kerja was held by the Students’ Association of English Language Education to determine the students’ association’s rules and procedures. Theevent was the first event which was handled by the new members from the 2nd semester of the students’ association. Each class of ELE were required to send at least two delegations to attend the event. “The aim of this event is to determine and decide on what to do during the 2018/2019 period,”explainedSastra Oka, the Coordinator of the Event Organizer. Furthermore, he explained that there were threepre-meeting before the main event, they were Pra-Raker 1, Pra-Raker 2,andPra-Raker 3. The main event was held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018.
Pra-Raker 1 was held on Monday, February 26th, 2018, in the ELE’s classroom. The Pra-raker1 was held to discuss the Garis Besar Program Kerja(GBPK),Anggaran Dasar/ Anggaran Rumah Tangga(AD/ART), and the planned-programs from each division of Students’ Association of English Language Education which will be run in 2018/2019 period. Besides, Sastra explained that the meeting also discussed the schedule and code of conduct during the event. This first meeting was only attended by the member of the students’ association.
Pra-Raker 2 was held on the following day which was not only attended bythe member of students’ association, but also by the delegations of each class. This second meeting discussed aboutAD/RTand the planned-programs of the first and second division. “Meanwhile, the planned-program of the third and fourth divisionwill be discussed in thePra-reker 3 which will be held on February 28th, 2018,” Sastra said. The head of students’ association, Dewa PutuRadityaSuputra, explained that from the Pra-Raker 1, Pra-Raker 2, andPra-Raker 3 they managed to make a decision which will be approved alongside the class delegations during the meeting itself. During the Pra-raker,there was a discussion between the delegations and the members of students’ association. Afterall of thePra-raker were held, the members of students’ association held a religious ceremony called “MaturPiuning” to ensure that the event would berun smoothly.
TheRapatKerja, main event, was attended by 106 people, consisted of the Head of English Language Education which was represented by BapakA.A. Gede Yudha Paramartha, S.Pd., M.Pd., asthe Student Adviser of English Language Education, the Head of Students’ Association in Languages and Arts Faculty, the members of students’ association, and the delegations of each class. The event was opened by singing Indonesia Raya and MarsUndiksha as well as followed by the report fromthe Head of Committee,AyuPirdayanti (namalengkap). It was continued by Bapak Agung YudhaParamartha which was delivering a speech and striking the gong for three times to open the event officially.
The event consisted of 3 phases. The first was the Plenary Session which aimed to discuss and decide everything that relates to the event itself. The second was Plenary Meeting which aimed to approve the made-decision in Plenary Meeting.

The last was Commission Meeting that discussed materials for each respective committee’s task. The meeting was held without anyobstruction, but not without issue. There weresome mistakes on writing and then a discussion was conducted regarding to the organization’s out-of-date name (HMJ). One of the attendee, Dandy Kharismawan,recognized that this was the first time he ever joined a meeting like this. “There is nothing like this in the seniorhigh school and the meeting itself is fun because this is a new experience for me.” he said. Sastra recognized that he was proud of the event, besides that this was his first time for being a coordinator of event organizer, he had to ask the opinions of his seniors many times throughout the event. “All in all, everything goes smoothly.” On the other hand, Pirda had also expressed a satisfaction for her job, though she also recognized that she was overwhelmed at first. “At first, I’m very confused, but I also want to thank all of the parties that have been helped the event.” she said.
Though, there were some mistakes during the event. The letter of approval’s signature was in the wrong order “Yes, there is a mistake. Fortunately, the presidium is quick to act.”explainedSastra. He also mentioned that there were anumber of attendee that must temporarily leave the meeting “Well, if it’s really important, they can always take absence before leaving the premise.” Besides, there were also a problem about the available room “At first, we’re supposed to hold the Pra-Raker 2 and Pra-Raker3 in the Seminar Room, but we’re forced to move to ELE’sclassroom because the Seminar Room was in use.”
As the head of presidium and the head of Students’ Association of English Language Education, Radit was very proud of the responsibility which is entrusted to him. “This is their first event, so they could learn a lot of things, especially about organization.” said the 4th semester student. He hoped that every mistake which were made in this meeting will be a lesson for the committees and the events ahead.
