INGARAJA. The department is happy to inform that two French students will join a class taking one of the subjects in EED for one semester. This is under the Erasmus+ program; a G-to-G initiative involving La Rochelle University, France and some other Universities in different countries.
The French students – Billy and Buldy – are from English and Management area back in La Rochelle University. They will take five subjects from different departments, including two in Language and Arts Faculty (one in EED and one in Indonesian Department) and three subjects in Economics and Business Faculty. There are also two other students from Thailand who will take some in the latter faculty.
During the meeting, the Head of Department sought for clarification concerning with professional commitment that the institution can provide, especially when issues arise. Learning from previous experience, both in university and departmental levels, many times, emerging issues need to be handled faster, fairer and more professionally. The Vice Rector on Collaboration Affair affirmed these but strongly assured that things must be better in the future. The department will hold to this commitment then.
Billy and Buldy agreed to have a sit in class in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) class under the care of Ms. Karina. The department is responsible to monitor the class and progress of the two International students. Potential students from EED will have the opportunity to have an exchange program to France and Thailand. Let’s hope this opens up for a better EED, academically and professionally.
