Strengthening International Collaboration: SUT Delegation Visits Undiksha’s English Language Education Program
The English Language Education (ELE) Program, Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha), welcomed a delegation from the School of Foreign Languages, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Thailand, in a meeting held at the Jayaprana Room, FBS Undiksha.
The SUT delegation consisted of Dr. Jitpanat Suwanthep, Head of the School of Foreign Languages, Dr. Suksan Suppasetseree, and Dr. Navinda Sujinpram. The meeting brought together lecturers from the ELE Program, including Dr. Era Marsakawati, Prof. Dr. IGA Lokita Purnamika Utami, Prof. Dr. Gede Budasi, Dr. Diah Surya, Dr. Sonia Piscayanti, Dr. Karina Wedhanti and Mr. Trika Adi Ana
The meeting served as an important platform for initiating and strengthening international collaboration between SUT and Undiksha, particularly in the areas of academic cooperation and curriculum development.
The program began with a welcoming address by Dr. Era Marsakawati, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, followed by an introduction to the School of Foreign Languages at SUT presented by Dr. Jitpanat Suwanthep. The presentation provided valuable insights into SUT’s academic programs, institutional profile, and opportunities for future collaboration.
The ELE Program at Undiksha was then introduced by Prof. Dr. IGA Lokita Purnamika Utami and Dr. Diah Surya, highlighting the program’s academic profile, learning outcomes, curriculum, and ongoing development. Dr. Karina Wedhanti subsequently presented the career pathways of ELE graduates, emphasizing the diverse professional opportunities available to graduates in education and other language-related fields.
The discussion continued with a presentation by Dr. Sonia Piscayanti on literature education and the development of literary communities.

A significant moment of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation document by Dr. Jitpanat Suwanthep and Prof. Dr. IGA Lokita Purnamika Utami, symbolizing a shared commitment to developing stronger academic partnerships between SUT and the ELE Program at Undiksha.
The visit concluded with a campus tour around the Faculty of Languages and Arts, facilitated by Prof. Dr. Gede Budasi, Dr. Karina Wedhanti, and Mr. Trika Adi Ana. The tour provided the SUT delegation with an opportunity to explore the academic environment and facilities of FBS Undiksha.
This visit marks a meaningful step toward expanding international academic networks and creating opportunities for curriculum collaboration, knowledge exchange, joint academic activities, and future institutional partnerships between Suranaree University of Technology and Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha.
