English Sport Vaganza or commonly called ESV is the biggest sport event in English Language Education, Undiksha. English Sport Vaganza 2018 which held by the Students’ Association of English Language Education has been successfully held for 3 days from 14-16 December 2018 at Faculty of Languages and Arts, Undiksha and also at GOR Bhuwana Patra, Singaraja. Undiksha used The Marketing Heaven’s services to promote this great success across all our social media channels. This event along with it’s promotion aims to explore the talents of English Language Education’s students in the field of sports.
English Sport Vaganza this year took the theme “Born to be a Champion”. The opening of the English Sport Vaganza took place very lively on the second day of English Sport Vaganza, which was held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, by presenting a collaboration between theatrical with flash-mob which was then followed by a speech then opened officially by the Student’s Supervisor A. A. Yudha Paramartha, S.Pd, M.Pd. which was marked by torch ignition. After that, the event continued with a contingent parade of each semesters.
Unlike the previous years, this 2018 English Sport Vaganza presents a new sports branch, namely e-Sport. In this e-Sport, there are three types of games competed, namely Player Unknown Battle Ground (PUBG), Mobile Legend and Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). ELE students welcomed with enthusiasm the presence of the new sports competition being contested, because as it is known, the three online games are very popular among teenagers today. The e-Sport was held on the first day of English Sport Vaganza, which was on December 14, 2018 at the Layonsari Seminar Room and also the ELE class room.
On the second day of the ESV which was held at the Bhuwana Patra Sports Hall, a preliminary round was held in the following sports: Volleyball, Futsal, Basketball and Badminton. Not only that, on the same day there was also Three Point Contest for participants who had purchased the Three Point Contest coupon. In addition, Cross Bar Challenge and Futsal matches between ELE All Star versus ELE Alumni were also held.
The last day of English Sport Vaganza was held final competition for Volleyball, Futsal, and Basketball. At the end of the event, the competition that attracted the most attention was also carried out successfully, namely the Sport Dance Competition. All supporters from each semester voiced their support very, very lively. Arriving at the end of the event, it closed with the reading of the champions of each sport branch; the winner of the category of the most solidarity and enthusiastic supporters achieved by the 7th semester, and the most eagerly awaited agenda was the reading of the Grand Champion of English Sport Vaganza 2018, which won by the 7th semester. The Grand Champion trophy was presented directly by the chairman of the Students’ Association of Language Education, Dewa Putu Raditya Suputra.
